PHILOSOPHY ON GOVERNMENT

The 10th Amendment to the US Constitution reads, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the state respectively, or to the people.” We have forgotten this basic and fundamental principle.

The federal government has grown too large to remain efficient.  The result of this is debt and deficit spending, a loss of liberty and empty promises from political leaders.

We must return to the principle of limited government.  Power must be returned to the states. As individuals we must accept responsibility for managing our own lives.  I am not anti-government, but we must first ask what is the appropriate role and function of government.  We will realize that the answer to this question is outlined in the U.S. Constitution.
